So you feel that Susie and Jack are finally old enough to really enjoy a camping weekend, but when you look over your gear it looks as if it was made in the Stone Ages. You’re a veteran camper and you know good and well that having the right camping equipment makes a world of difference – so before you head out, first have a look at how your camping style has changed.

Your ultra-light solo tent will have to stay home this time. You’re thinking more towards getting a new multi-room family tent so that the kids are close by but you still have a bit of privacy. You’ve heard there can be some fierce wind gusts where you’re heading so you make a note to read reviews and specifications on any you look over.

You let the kids choose their sleeping bags; all they see are the pretty colours, but you keep an eye out for quality craftsmanship and the appropriate temperature ratings as well. No matter how warm it gets in the day that 4am temperature drop can get chilly so you want to make sure your family comes home from their first camping experience excited to be planning their next outing.

Regarding cooking gear you’re still in pretty good shape, but that tiny single burner stove will need to be traded in for a double or you’re going to have a very hungry crew on your hands. Pots and pans? Check! Hiking gear? Yes! Now you’re all set to share your love of the great outdoors with your children. Enjoy!

This post was authored by Sally Conrad from payday-loans.co.uk. Visit for payday loans and same day wage advances.

Eye problems can be mild, moderate or they can be severe. Anytime you find you are having trouble with your vision, be sure to make an appointment with a professional to have it checked out. Visual acuity, or VA, refers to the clarity of what you see. It is the retina’s ability to put objects into sharp focus.

One frequent eye complaint is itching eyes. This happens when you are exposed to the environmental pollutants and you can also have itchy eyes because of a medication you are taking. Those people who suffer from allergies can also have eyes that itch and this can be very uncomfortable. You might experience itchy eyes after swimming in a chlorinated pool but this itch is temporary and considered mild eye irritation.

If your eyes feel dry, then you are not producing enough liquid to properly lubricate your eyes. If you wear the wrong contact lenses, you can get dry eyes or if the solution you clean your lenses in is wrong, that too can be a cause. When the membrane that surrounds the eyes gets inflamed, you have a condition called conjunctivitis. Pet hairs, dust mites and even mold can also cause eye irritations.

Where once you had the standard list of skills to present at an interview – these days searching for a job requires one to be part explorer and part magician. You and everyone’s mother are vying for the same positions, whilst employees in-house are also hoping to hold onto their jobs. Dog-eat-dog doesn’t even begin to cover it. Though the world’s economy is in a constant state of flux, it’s prompting job-seekers to come up with new ways to both present themselves and find work. Here are some of the trends…

Networking is more important than ever because even though jobs are still listing through traditional means, your friends and colleagues have the inside scoop. That’s why it’s so vitally important to be visible whilst searching for a job, because how can friends tell you about employment if they don’t know you’re looking for it? So whether you’re scouting out medical jobs or a place in that fabulous new not-for-profit, let your people know!

Recruitment agencies and Web-based search engines are great ways to let technology work for you. After answering a few questions you can be set up to receive job postings even in slumber. Plus it makes you look sharp and savvy to make friends with technology, so even as you’re brushing up on computer skills, don’t forget to set yourself up to have job opportunities land right in your in-box.

Sure, it can be surprisingly difficult to find and land a new job, but the upside of such a time is that you, my friend, are becoming quite a scrappy individual – and you will eventually make it to the top!

Chronic pain can make parenting challenging, to say the least. As your kids grow, they become more active – and it’s so tough to keep up! Though it isn’t easy to figure out getting a handle on your pain can ultimately benefit everyone in your life. Here are a few tips to get yourself running right again.

Ask around. One of the biggest mistakes in facing a chronic condition is to go silent. Sure, you don’ want to be that person who complains all the time but the best way to find answers is to do your homework and also find others who have been in your shoes. Ask your physician for local or Web support groups and together you may find answers.

Find what works. Of course you’ll need to work with a health professional before starting any new regimen but see what can help, be it specific foods to eat or avoid. Also see if there are any supplement that can offer assistance, such as glucosamine for joint pain, ALCAR for brain function, and on.

Get out and move! Anyone who suffers from chronic pain knows that the struggles often lead to depression. And depression can lead to more pain, causing a frightening downward spiral. So as much as you sometimes may loathe to hear it there are few things better than becoming physically active. Don’t overtax yourself but know that the benefits to a physically active life are multiple. And better yet, take it outdoors because nature is one of the great healers for both the body and mind.

With these tips and others from your health practitioner you’ll hopefully be feeling good again soon.

One of the latest and most successful trends in tourism is in letting families call the shots, if you will. When each family member has different interests it can be incredibly difficult to keep everyone happy. Thankfully the travel industry recognises this quandary and has created a series of a la carte booking packages.

The way it works is you decide on a location, style of accommodation and length of stay. Say you choose a villa in the English countryside (get those kids out into the fresh air!) – you then decide on the particulars of what sounds entertaining to the family as a group and also as individuals. Seriously, if Mum wants to have a day at the Spa whilst Dad goes fishing, whom does it harm? They can all still dine together, go dancing, learn kayaking together, do Yoga – any number of fun activities. But the great part is that you won’t be doing what you don’t want to be doing. What a novel concept!

The beauty of this style of vacation is that you won’t be forced to be active if you prefer to laze by the pool, and you won’t have to go stir crazy with “too much nature” if you prefer to have more excitement during your holiday.

There are numerous options for the English countryside and forest holidays – a quick search of the Web should find you some spectacular deals at affordable prices and seemingly limitless flexibility. Why be saddled with an antiquated form of vacationing? You’re a modern family that prides itself on being a group of intelligent individuals; isn’t it about time you found a holiday that can adequately reflect that?

Cancer Research UK is the world’s leading independent charity dedicated to cancer research. Cancer Research carries out scientific research to help prevent, diagnose and treat cancer. They have discovered new ways to beat cancer that together have saved hundreds of thousands of lives across the world.

Cancer Research’s TV campaigns feature real people – cancer survivors, patients and their loved ones illustrate the impact that Cancer Research UK has had on their lives. They have also featured cancer doctors in the past, whose research is funded by the organisation, to illustrate the progress they are making.

Alex Warne

Alex, 14, was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia in 2003 when he was just six. His parents took him to hospital after he lost energy and had aches in his legs and he quickly started a year of intensive chemotherapy treatment.

It was an exceptionally difficult time for the family as, three weeks after Alex’s diagnosis, his grandfather was told he had terminal pancreatic cancer and passed away five months later. After the intensive treatment, Alex underwent two and a quarter years of maintenance chemotherapy during which he had to be in a wheelchair at times.

Alex also had to have his feet straightened as the chemotherapy had overstretched his Achilles tendons. Alex is now back at school, taking part in a wide range of sports and has also developed his writing skills. He wrote a story called The Heaven Flower which was published in 2010. Mum Julie said: “Alex is such an amazing teenager. I want other kids who are going through cancer to be inspired by Alex.” “But we will never have our carefree life back again – if there is even a slight problem of illness with Alex, I switch to the day of diagnosis again.”

Motor vehicle accidents can destroy a person both physically, as well as financially. Those that have been in an accident, should file a traffic accident compensation claim in order to protect the best interests of both themselves, as well as their family.

There are many reasons to file a claim. First, there will be the cost of the damage to your vehicle to consider. This may be limited to the cost of specific repairs, or an entire replacement of your vehicle could be required. Secondly, it is quite possible that you will sustain injuries as a result of the accident. Even if you have health insurance, the costs that are not covered can add up quickly. The hospital will be calling you to collect this money owed, and if an accident was not your fault, you should not be held responsible for paying these costs.

Filing a traffic accident compensation claim will require contacting an attorney. An attorney will walk you through the process of how to file a claim. He or she will help you fill out the appropriate paperwork, and will file it in a court of law. Once the claim as been filed, the individual who caused the accident, as well as his car insurance provider will be contacted, and allowed to respond. The majority of the time, the insurance company will offer a financial settlement. It will be up to you to decide if the settlement amount is fair.

An attorney will work to obtain the best settlement possible. However, if an agreement cannot be reached, the claim will go to court. At this point, your attorney will present your case to the court, and the settlement amount will be awarded via a judgement from the judge. As previously stated, a claim often never makes it to the court, but you should be aware that it is a possibility. No worries though, your attorney will be skilled in such matters, and will handle everything for you.

If you have been in an accident, you should file a traffic accident compensation claim immediately. Not filing a claim will mean that you are on your own, and will be liable to pay for all doctor bills, and repair costs completely out of pocket. Filing a claim is the only way to protect your assets, and will help ensure that you are fairly compensated for damages, as well as injuries.
